Abby Chow is an Associate Clinical Counsellor with MindRight Counselling & Consulting. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Abby has worked with individuals and families impacted by crime, intimate partner violence, mental health, complex trauma and addictions for private and not-for-profit agencies. Abby is also a Certified Personality Profiler, using various models of personality development to support individuals in self-improvement, self-compassion and self-actualization; and businesses in team development.

Abby works from an Existential approach, valuing individual uniqueness and competence in confronting the givens of existence, while incorporating various other therapeutic modalities such as Narrative, CBT, ACT, and Art Therapy, to holistically approach concerns that arise in the therapeutic space. She uses an anti-oppressive systemic approach in conceptualizing clients’ presenting concerns and works collaboratively to support them in moving through life various stressors. Her primary work in research involves investigating the relationship between personality typology and healthy cultural adaptation in transnational populations.
