Will Lee is an Associate Clinical Counsellor with MindRight Counselling & Consulting. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
Will has worked for the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, and currently the BC Centre on Substance Use, where he served as a Research Coordinator assessing posttraumatic stress disorder symptomatology among people who use illicit drugs in the Lower Mainland. He has also worked for BC Corrections where he assessed the mental health status and needs of inmates on remand. He also has experience working with post-secondary students with their mental health challenges, ranging from depression, panic attacks, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, career goal-setting, and other issues.
Will operates under a solution-focused and strength-based modality, where he strives to highlight the often overlooked tools and strengths that each person possesses, and uses that as a vehicle to generate solutions to their problems. He strongly believes in a collaborative counselling process, where the client takes charge of their therapeutic journey, and that he’s there to support them until they have reached their desired outcome.
Will offers services in English and Mandarin.
