Laila Lee is a intern therapist at MindRight Counselling & Consulting. She is currently completing her Masters’ Degree in Counselling at City University. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Laila has worked with individuals impacted by mental health issues and provided crisis intervention for those who have had experiences of mental health challenges at a not-for-profit agency.
Laila enjoys working with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues, school issues, and personal goals coaching. Laila integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy to help her clients develop emotional intelligence, unpack stressors, and establish healthy coping mechanisms. She will propel clients towards their intended goals. Born in Taiwan, Laila later immigrated to Canada. Laila’s life experiences inform her empathy for people navigating transitions and relating to cultures different than their own.
